Chriss R.
Technical Reviewer — DiagnosFix
Chriss R. is the technical reviewer who checks every DiagnosFix guide before it goes live.
Chriss trained as an engineer in Industrial Engineering and Maintenance, then took an unexpected turn into the building trade, following in the footsteps of his father, a construction contractor whose business he took over when his father retired. Today, at the head of a family of four boys, he runs that business at a calmer pace from his desk — quotes, project studies, and site follow-up now happen mostly on a computer.
It’s the other half of his training that speaks most directly to his work on DiagnosFix. During his engineering studies, Chriss specialized in the maintenance of computer hardware and IT services, a field he went on to teach as an instructor a few years later. He also runs a family restaurant together with his sister — and it’s there that this background shows up in daily practice: as specialists in industrial equipment maintenance, the two of them repair and service all of their professional kitchen equipment themselves, without ever calling in an outside contractor.
That direct, hands-on experience diagnosing and fixing equipment — at the restaurant, on top of his engineering background in maintenance — is exactly what qualifies him for his role as technical reviewer on DiagnosFix.
Chriss’s role on DiagnosFix
Chriss doesn’t write the guides alone — DiagnosFix combines AI-assisted drafting with a systematic human review (see our Editorial Policy). His job is to check each proposed cause against manufacturer documentation, confirm that every test described is something a reader can actually perform (a multimeter reading, a visual check, an error-code readout), and make sure no diagnosis is presented as certain when the reality is probabilistic.
What Chriss isn’t
Chriss is not a certified appliance repair technician, and DiagnosFix doesn’t claim any professional appliance-repair certification on his behalf. For anything involving mains electricity, gas, or a sealed refrigerant circuit, every guide points to our Safety Disclaimer and recommends calling a qualified professional.
