About DiagnosFix

DiagnosFix is the independent, multi-brand appliance troubleshooting guide.

When an appliance breaks down, the answers you find online are usually scattered across single-brand support pages, decade-old forum threads, and parts stores trying to sell you something. DiagnosFix exists to fix that: one place with clear, structured diagnostic guides that work across brands — Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Bosch, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Maytag and more.

What we do

  • Symptom-first diagnostics. You search by what your appliance is doing (“dishwasher not draining”), not by model number. Each guide walks through the probable causes in order of likelihood, with a verifiable test for each one.
  • Repair or replace, with numbers. Where it matters, we give real cost ranges for parts and labor so you can decide whether a repair is worth it.
  • Brand-specific details, centralized. Reset procedures, error codes, and known quirks vary by manufacturer. We collect them side by side instead of making you dig through eight support sites.

What we don’t do

We are not affiliated with any appliance manufacturer, and we don’t repair appliances ourselves. We don’t present any diagnosis as certain — appliances vary by brand, model, and year, and our guides always say so. When a repair involves mains electricity, gas, or refrigerant, we tell you plainly to call a professional.

Who’s behind DiagnosFix

DiagnosFix is published by Net Studio LLC, a small U.S. publishing company based in Wyoming. The site is run independently of any manufacturer or parts retailer, and every guide is reviewed by our founder before it goes live.

That founder is Chriss R. He trained as an industrial engineer specializing in equipment maintenance, then moved into construction, taking over the family contracting business his father built after his father retired. Now raising four boys, Chriss runs that business at a calmer pace these days, handling estimates, quotes, and job tracking from a desk rather than a job site.

His path into appliances started earlier, though: during his engineering studies he specialized in maintaining IT hardware and equipment, a field he later taught as an instructor. He also co-runs a family restaurant with his sister, and — drawing on that same maintenance background — they repair and service all of their own commercial kitchen equipment in-house, without ever calling in an outside technician. That hands-on, real-world experience diagnosing and fixing appliances, combined with his engineering training, is exactly what he brings to DiagnosFix as its technical reviewer.

How this site is funded

DiagnosFix is supported by advertising and by affiliate links to replacement parts retailers. If you buy a part through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes our diagnostic advice — see our Editorial Policy for details.
